PLAY Software

The ARCO rotator comes with PLAY, the astrophotography software developed by PrimaLuceLab, designed to help you capture stunning images of the night sky with ease, using the telescope, mount, and accessories of your choice! PLAY offers a comprehensive suite of features essential for astrophotography, allowing you to configure your setup by selecting an OTA and mount equipped with ASCOM drivers (compatible with ASCOM platform 6.5 and later). You can control focusing with ESATTO or SESTO SENSO 2, and manage camera rotation with ARCO.

To use PLAY, you need at least an ESATTO focuser or a SESTO SENSO 2 focusing motor. If you install PLAY on the EAGLE computer, it unlocks even more advanced features, enhancing your astrophotography experience.

Pair with ESATTO or SESTO SENSO

The ARCO 2" rotator is designed for seamless integration with various systems, ensuring compatibility and ease of use across different setups.

Compatibility with ESATTO Focusers:

You can effortlessly connect the ARCO 2" to any ESATTO focuser using the appropriate optional adapters:

  • ESATTO 2": Use the PL3600412 adapter.
  • ESATTO 3": Use the PL3600416 adapter.
  • ESATTO 4": Use the PL3600423 adapter.

Each adapter ensures a secure connection, and the ARCO cable included in the box allows for straightforward control.

Integration with SESTO SENSO 2:

If your telescope uses a SESTO SENSO 2 focusing motor, the ARCO 2" can also be easily connected:

  • For focusers with a standard 2” visual back, use the optional PL3600413 2" nosepiece for ARCO 2”.
  • For focusers with an M48 male thread (commonly found on correctors/reducers), use the PL3600424 M48x0.75 female adapter for ARCO 2”.

Similar to the ESATTO setup, the ARCO 2" connects to SESTO SENSO 2 with the provided cable, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.

By offering flexible connectivity options, the ARCO 2" rotator seamlessly integrates with your existing equipment, enhancing your astrophotography experience with precise and reliable performance.

M54 Compatibility

The ARCO 2" rotator features an M56x1 male thread, identical to the camera side of the ESATTO 2” draw tube. This allows you to easily connect a variety of cameras and accessories using optional M56 adapters with a stop ring. Here are the available adapters for different thread types:

  • PL3600218: For cameras or accessories with a T2 thread
  • PL3600216: For cameras or accessories with an M48 thread
  • PL3600225: For accessories with an SC thread
  • PL3600242: For cameras or accessories with an M54 thread
  • PL3600227: For accessories with an M57 thread
  • PL8410001: 2” visual back for connecting cameras or accessories with a 2” nosepiece

These adapters ensure compatibility with a wide range of equipment, making the ARCO 2" a versatile addition to your astrophotography setup.
